3/4       oz.        Whiskey

3/4       oz.        Drambuie

3/4       oz.        Sour Mix

 

Pour into an ice-filled rocks glass and stir well.  Then put on your vintage Iron Butterfly concert T-shirt and serve.

 

 

Latin Manhattan

Category: Manhattan Variations

 

1 1/2    oz.        Dark Rum

1 1/2    oz.        Sweet Vermouth

1 1/2    oz.        Dry Vermouth

1          dash     Bitters

                        Lemon Twist

 

Pour ingredients into an ice-filled mixing glass and stir until well chilled.  Strain into a chilled cocktail or martini glass, add the lemon and serve.

 

Tips:  If you like this drink, try the Cuban Manhattan, too.

 

 

Lieutenant Bill

1 1/2    oz.        Vodka

1 1/2    oz.        Apricot Brandy

1 1/2    oz.        Orange Juice

                        Orange Slice

 

Shake or blend with ice, and strain into a chilled cocktail glass.  Garnish with the orange slice and serve.

 

Tips:  Feel free to substitute schnapps instead of brandy.

 

 

Loch Lomond

1 1/2    oz.        Scotch Whiskey

1          tsp.       Sugar

2          dashes  Bitters

 

Shake with ice and serve in an Old Fashioned glass.

 

 

Long Island Iced Tea

Category: Novelty Drinks

 

1/2       oz.        Gin

1/2       oz.        Vodka

1/2       oz.        Rum (either White or Dark)

1/2       oz.        Tequila

1/2       oz.        Triple Sec

1          oz.        Sour Mix

                        Cola (to fill)

                        Lemon Slice

 

Pour everything except the cola into a tall, ice-filled glass and stir well.  Top off with cola, garnish with the lemon slice, and serve.

 

 

Luscious Lisa

Category: Champagne Drinks

 

1          oz.        Brandy

1/2       oz.        Raspberry Liqueur

4          oz.        Champagne

                        Raspberries to garnish

 

Stir the brandy and liqueur with ice cubes, and strain into a chilled tulip glass.  Top with cold champagne, and garnish with fresh raspberries before serving.

 

Tips:  If fresh raspberries are out of season, substitute maraschino cherries, as we did.
