Gibson
Category: Martini Variations
2 oz. Gin
1/2 oz. Dry Vermouth
Pearl Onion
Pour into an ice-filled mixing glass and stir until well chilled. Then strain into a martini glass (or
ice-filled rocks glass), garnish with the onion, and serve.
Tips: Like all martini versions,
simply increase the proportion of gin vs. vermouth to produce a drier drink.
Gilligan's Island
Category: Tropical Drinks
1 1/2 oz. White Rum
1/2 oz. Grapefruit Juice
1/2 oz. Maraschino Liqueur
1 tbsp. Lime Juice
Shake the ingredients together with ice. Strain into an ice-filled hurricane glass, or a chilled cocktail
glass, and serve.
Tips: Although we haven't called
for any special garnishes, fruit or novelty garnishes (such as umbrellas) are a
nice final touch for this -- and any other -- tropical drink.

1 1/2 oz. Gin
3/4 oz. Rose's Lime Juice
Lime Slice
Fill a rocks glass with ice, and pour in the liquids. Stir, then garnish with the lime slice

Tip: For a different taste, try
substituting a green olive or pearl onion for the lime slice, as we have here. Or try mixing a Vodka Gimlet, instead.
