3/4 oz. Lime Juice or Sour Mix
1 tsp. Sugar
Lime Slice
Shake the rum, lime juice and sugar together with ice, until the sugar
is completely dissolved. Strain into a
chilled cocktail glass, and garnish with the lime slice.

Tips: Galliano, Sambuca, or any
other anisette-flavored drink can easily be substituted for the Pernod.

the fruit, and prepare to imagine you're looking out over the white sands of
Waikiki!
Variations: Try substituting any
variety of fortified wines or liqueurs for the curacao/vermouth combination
suggested here.

Pour the vermouths into a mixing glass, and strain into a chilled
cocktail or martini glass. Twist the
peel into the drink and add the cherry before serving.
Dirty Mother
1 1/2 oz. Coffee Liqueur
1 1/2 oz. Brandy
Pour into an ice-filled rocks glass and serve.
Variations: Replace 1 oz. of the
coffee liqueur with cream to pour a Dirty White Mother. (Who comes up with these names?)
Dixie Cocktail

1/2 oz. Orange Juice

Shake together with ice, and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with the cherry and serve.
